We’re looking for an Underwriting Oversight Manager to play a key role in onboarding new syndicate clients and supporting the delivery of a best-in-class underwriting framework at a respected Lloyd’s managing agency. Working closely with underwriting teams, active underwriters, and senior leadership, you’ll help ensure syndicate performance stays aligned with strategic plans — and take action when it doesn’t.

We’re looking for someone with:

Experience in the Lloyd’s market, ideally within an underwriting or managing agency role

Strong understanding of underwriting frameworks, performance metrics, and delegated authority structures

A proactive mindset with the ability to analyse data, lead file reviews, and monitor underwriting against plan

Solid grasp of regulatory requirements including Lloyd’s Principles for Doing Business

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to work collaboratively across functions

High levels of organisation, attention to detail, and experience juggling competing priorities

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with underwriting MI systems

Progress toward or completion of ACII qualification is a plus

You’ll be investigating deviations, reviewing performance reports, supporting peer and audit review processes, and helping maintain policies, procedures, and Letters of Authority — all while making sure oversight is clear, effective, and audit-ready.
