Job summary

Pro Global is seeking an experienced Underwriting Group Team Manager to lead a London-based team delivering high-quality underwriting support and scalable processes. The role involves oversight of workflow, performance, controls, and reporting to enable underwriters to operate effectively.

Successful candidates will have strong leadership, extensive underwriting support experience, and a track record in continuous improvement, with the role reporting to Pro Global in a hybrid London environment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of team management experience in the insurance market.
• Experience leading underwriting support operations and teams.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain end-to-end oversight of underwriting support activities and staff.
• Provide direct line management including 1:1s, appraisals, coaching, and objectives.
• Ensure activity aligns with Ethical and Service Standards.
• Collaborate with Underwriters to resolve day-to-day queries and provide solutions.
• Manage workflow, submission flow, endorsements, renewal tracking, and peer reviews to meet SLAs.
• Maintain reporting frameworks to manage operational risk and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate administrative and project support as required.
• Monitor underwriting dashboards and escalate data issues as needed.
