Job Description:

We are recruiting for an Underwriting Operations Assistant vacancy on behalf of a highly regarded and long-established Lloyds Syndicate and re/insurer.

This is a diverse global role within a growing operations team.

Key responsibilities:

1. Processing premiums, adjustments, commissions, and claim payments in accounting systems.
2. Supporting process development, documentation, and controls for efficiency.
3. Developing and overseeing metrics and KPIs aligned with team goals.
4. Supporting Claims, Reserving, Underwriting, and Finance departments.
5. External communication with brokers.
6. Supporting adherence to contract certainty.
7. Assisting with special projects within Operations.
8. Supporting monthly and quarterly closes.
9. Assisting with audits and ensuring SOX compliance.
10. Carrying out responsibilities with quality and timeliness.

Required experience:

• 1-4 years in a London Insurance Market operational role, from underwriting or claims support, in a re/insurer or broker.
• Good educational background.
• CII qualified or willing to study.
• Team player with good communication, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
