You will manage the SME portfolio, analyze and evaluate risks, and partner with brokers to provide insurance solutions. Your technical expertise in eTrade or digital underwriting will ensure standards are maintained across the portfolio.

We seek a decisive, detail-oriented individual capable of building internal and external relationships, negotiating terms, and analyzing portfolios independently to contribute to Travelers' profitability and success.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and a £5,000 new joiner bonus, with potential referral bonuses.

What Will You Do?

  • Implement and monitor underwriting appetite and rules for new and existing products.
  • Collaborate on coverage analysis for new products and optimizations.
  • Ensure proper use of data and risk management in eTrade models.
  • Provide guidance on referral handling and risk management approaches.
  • Analyze portfolio performance, address knowledge gaps, and ensure underwriting quality.
  • Manage profitability, growth, and retention, underwriting risks, and negotiate terms.
  • Utilize technology platforms for quoting and binding risks efficiently.
  • Lead underwriting reviews and foster relationships with internal teams and brokers.
  • Develop and deliver underwriting training materials.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Expert knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and the local market.
  • Portfolio management skills aligned with strategic directions.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and mentor others.
  • Experience with industry analysis and project management.

Must Have Qualifications

  • A-Levels or equivalent qualification in the UK.
  • Extensive experience in underwriting, product knowledge, or risk assessment.

What Is in It for You?

  • Private Medical Insurance with options for dependents.
  • Retirement contributions and pension plan benefits.
  • Minimum 25 days of holiday, with options to purchase more.
  • Wellness programs and mental health support.
  • Volunteer and community engagement opportunities.
