Trading Underwriting Assistant - based in Manchester
Your new company: Your new company is one of the largest MGAs in the UK, with offices all over the UK that specialises in the SME to mid-market Property & Casualty business. They have excellent relationships with their panel of brokers and focus on client-centric underwriting strategies. Due to expansion within the Existing Business team, a Trading Underwriting Assistant position has arisen. This role is based in Manchester.
Your new role: As a Trading Underwriting Assistant, you will develop and maintain strong broker relationships by delivering excellent customer service and managing renewals efficiently. You will collaborate with your team and manager to help establish and grow the Manchester Centre of Excellence. Responsibilities include handling broker and client requests such as renewal queries, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations, working with team members, fostering stakeholder relationships, and managing large renewal cases. You will operate within your delegated underwriting authority and identify opportunities for process improvements.
What you'll need to succeed: Previous experience in a service-based industry, knowledge of good customer outcomes, self-motivation, friendliness, relationship-building skills, quick learning ability, teamwork, and meeting deadlines. Excellent communication and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, and ideally Cert CII qualification are preferred.
