Trading Underwriting Assistant - based in Manchester
Your new company: Your new company is one of the largest MGAs in the UK, with offices across the country, specialising in SME to mid-market Property & Casualty insurance. They maintain strong relationships with brokers and focus on client-centric underwriting strategies. Due to expansion within the Existing Business team, a Trading Underwriting Assistant position has become available. This role is based in Manchester.
Your new role: As a Trading Underwriting Assistant, you will develop and maintain broker relationships by delivering excellent customer service and managing renewals efficiently. You will collaborate with your team and manager to help establish and grow the Manchester Centre of Excellence. Responsibilities include handling broker and client requests such as renewals, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations, working with team members, and managing large renewal cases. You will also operate within your delegated underwriting authority and identify opportunities to improve processes.
What you'll need to succeed: Previous experience in a service-based industry and a good understanding of customer outcomes are essential. You should be self-motivated, friendly, good at building relationships, quick to learn, and able to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and organisational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to work under pressure and solve problems are required. Ideally, you will be Cert CII qualified.
