Job Purpose

To support the Underwriting division through defined administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter risk and policy data into the Underwriting system(s) within the defined Service Level Agreements.
  • Perform peer-to-peer quality assurance checks within the agreed timelines.
  • Communicate all risk and policy queries through appropriate channels and respond promptly.
  • Process unmatched USMs within SLA and escalate issues as needed.
  • Complete all tasks required for month-end close.
  • Support credit control activities, including managing aged debt and excess cash queries.
  • Participate in team, departmental, and divisional meetings to foster relationships and understanding of the business.
  • Digitally scan and store documentation in designated folders.
  • Ensure underwriting files are complete and accurate; obtain missing items from the underwriting team.
  • Support company projects and initiatives.
  • Assist in training new team members and serve as a Subject Matter Expert when required.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management.
  • Maintain business logs and renewal pipeline spreadsheets.
  • Assist with peer reviews and ensure completion of PBQA/CC.
  • Help collate information for renewals and support the FL Portfolio analyst as needed.
  • Handle internal tasks related to broker interactions, including chasing for missing documents and managing aged debt.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and prepare ad-hoc reports.
  • Report suspicions of financial crime to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer immediately.
  • Operate within the company's standards for Treating Customers Fairly.
  • Manage conflicts of interest to maintain the company's integrity.
  • Immediately inform Compliance of any complaints.
