Job summary

Direct Commercial Limited in Chelmsford is seeking a recent graduate or career starter for an Underwriting Admin Assistant role on a full-time onsite basis at our brand-new office. Reporting to the Head of Schemes, you will join the renewals team, handle renewal retention forecasts, support brokers with enquiries, publish invites, update policies, and learn rating structures used in underwriting.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in an office environment.
• Maths and English GCSEs (C (5) or above).

Responsibilities

• Maintaining Haul in One’s renewal retention in line with forecasts
• Supporting brokers with renewal enquiries
• Publishing and sending invites to brokers
• Making necessary changes to policies
• Learning rating structures and how they apply to underwriting procedures
• Corresponding with brokers over policy changes and additional queries
• Escalating more complex issues to senior team
