About the Company: When it comes to MGAs, this one is a purebred – owned by a global broking giant, with capacity provided by one of the largest composite insurers in the world. It offers a 'best in class' service to its clientele and is a significant player in the market, especially within the Golf niche. The company is investing heavily to increase its market share, focusing on football and rugby clubs among others.

Role Overview: You will manage both renewal and new business cases, dealing with clients from the company's broking business and third-party brokers. The products are bespoke and geared towards the Sports market, including Commercial Combined, Property, Liability, and Specialist products.

Key Duties:

1. Managing and maintaining relationships with regional brokers, colleagues, and clients across the UK.
2. Identifying opportunities to offer solutions to existing clients and brokers by evaluating applicant situations and determining insurance risk.
3. Underwriting both new and existing business within your delegated authority.
4. Communicating effectively with senior staff to ensure clarity and positive relationships.
5. Providing excellent customer service by working within SLAs.
6. Liaising with brokers and colleagues to increase profitable relationships, both virtually and in person.
7. Issuing insurance policies by calculating premiums and negotiating terms and conditions.

Candidate Profile: Ideally, you come from a commercial underwriting background with exposure to golf or miscellaneous sports insurance. Applications from outstanding Commercial Underwriters (Commercial Combined/ Property/ Casualty) with a passion for sports are welcome. We also seek technically skilled Brokers experienced with delegated authority schemes. Note: We prefer candidates who are not focused on auto-rated business.

Skills & Requirements: Highly numerate, excellent IT skills, stakeholder management skills, and a team-oriented approach.

Work Environment: Hybrid role with office presence a couple of days a week. Outstanding candidates with relevant sector knowledge may work more flexibly or remotely.
