This role offers an exciting opportunity within a pedigree MGA owned by a global broking giant, providing capacity through one of the world's largest insurers. The company commands a significant market share, especially in the Golf niche, and is expanding into football, rugby, and other sports markets.

Responsibilities include managing renewal and new business cases with clients from the company's own broking and third-party brokers, dealing with bespoke sports insurance products such as Commercial Combined, Property, Liability, and Specialist products.

Key duties:

1. Managing relationships with brokers, colleagues, and clients across the UK.
2. Identifying solutions for existing clients and brokers by evaluating insurance risks.
3. Underwriting both new and existing business within delegated authority.
4. Communicating effectively with senior staff to maintain clarity and positive relationships.
5. Ensuring high service levels by working within SLAs.
6. Liaising with brokers and colleagues to foster profitable relationships.
7. Issuing policies by calculating premiums and negotiating terms.

The ideal candidate will have a commercial underwriting background, preferably with experience in golf or sports insurance. Applications are also welcome from outstanding Commercial Underwriters with a passion for sports or technically skilled Brokers experienced in delegated authority schemes. Note that focus on auto-rated business is not desired.

You should be highly numerate, proficient in IT, and possess excellent stakeholder-management skills. The role offers a hybrid working pattern, with some office presence required, but with flexibility for remote work for suitable candidates.
