Job description

The Property Treaty reinsurance underwriting team is based in London and generates close to $250m of income from US and International clients. These roles focus on developing and renewing the US and International Property Treaty portfolios and supporting the wider team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Property Treaty product line.
  • Negotiate, assess, and underwrite renewal and new business efficiently, within business plan and authority limits.
  • Support broker interactions, modelling, strategic thinking, risk analysis, and business planning.
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients to generate new business.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures, manage peak risks.
  • Prepare underwriting reports and presentations.
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Compile statistics and analyze risk and account performance.
  • Review and finalize contract wordings.
Skills & Experience
  • Lloyd’s or company market experience (broking or underwriting), with client/broker facing roles.
  • Technical knowledge of the Property Treaty class; experience in international markets is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Cat modelling tools such as RMS at policy and portfolio levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
