After winning the ‘All Stars’ award at the inaugural CFC impact awards, the team consistently exceeds expectations to deliver exceptional service and results. They are looking for a high performer to join CFC as they build the underwriting team of the future.
The team is a market leader in providing professional liability solutions for SME businesses, as well as a developing book of middle market and larger accounts. As a team of 21, they insure over 13,500 clients and consider over 50,000 submissions a year.
As one of the largest professional liability teams in London focusing on US-based clients, this role offers exposure to a wide variety of risks. While professional liability coverage is core, their innovative package policies also include general liability, cyber, and property insurance, providing a unique learning opportunity. They offer six distinct products for professional service firms across various sectors, ensuring ample opportunities for development.
As an underwriter on the US Professions team, you will handle key aspects of the underwriting process, including new business and renewal underwriting, responding to broker queries, managing portfolios, and developing broker relationships.
Training and support will be provided by experienced underwriters and managers to familiarize you with the products, appetite, and broker base.
We seek a driven individual with at least 3 years of underwriting or broking experience in professional liability (E&O), preferably with multi-class exposure. Experience with US business is advantageous but not essential; a keen interest to gain experience in this market is also welcome.
You should have a sales focus, problem-solving skills, strong numerical ability, and attention to detail. A strong work ethic and excellent communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate is ambitious, team-oriented, and eager to be part of the future of underwriting.
