Job Spec

We are looking for an experienced underwriter to join the Professional Lines team in London. This is a rare opportunity to take a meaningful role in a market leading team and further develop your career.

Responsibilities

• Execute underwriting strategy

• Business development including identifying distribution, products and building relationships

• Analysing risk, setting pricing and undertaking policy review

• Underwriting in accordance with business plan and Underwriting Guidelines

• Travel and engagement with intermediaries and clients

• Monitor and report on key metrics

Skills, Experience and Education

• 5 or more years’ experience in underwriting Professional Lines

• Ability to develop business

• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Highly focused, enthusiastic and creative thinker

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to negotiate with sophisticated advisors and clients

• Ability to be proactive, work independently and make decisions

• Competency in drafting
