Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain the company's filing systems, recording incoming documents where appropriate.
• Respond to inquiries from Brokers / Intermediaries courteously and helpfully, ensuring all information needed for underwriting is obtained and communicated.
• Secure information to identify client requirements, and provide & communicate quotations in accordance with underwriting guidelines and permissions.
• Use gathered information to rate/set premiums, and apply terms and conditions as per guidelines.
• Utilize the company's quotation system, rating guides, or refer to senior colleagues when setting rates or premiums.
• Issue written confirmation for accepted quotations, including full details of cover, and seek proposals or statements of fact as needed.
• Prepare and issue invoices and policy documents, and update client records.
• Handle mid-term adjustments and claims, referring to senior colleagues when necessary.
• Create and update files and system records for new business and amendments.
• Follow credit control rules and aim to meet cash flow objectives.
• Assist with claims notification procedures and direct clients to appropriate claims management partners or helplines.
• Respond to claim inquiries courteously, ensuring all information is obtained and communicated.
• Maintain accurate and secure filing systems.
• Perform other duties as required by line manager.
