My client is a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in complex market segments such as Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering.
They are looking to expand their Work Winning team with skilled and enthusiastic individuals to deliver various tenders across the UK.
The team is now looking for an Underground Works/Preparation Methods Engineer to join their business on a Full Time employed basis.
This role is pivotal in the preparation and submission of tenders for large-scale underground construction projects. The engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing engineering projects focused on tunnel and underground constructions, ensuring deliverables are met within the specified timelines and budgets.
You will prepare technical proposals and work plans, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies, and collaborate with the project management and business development teams to ensure compliance with client requirements.
You will also be required to provide technical support and guidance during pre-bid meetings and client presentations.
It is essential that you have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in underground construction projects with a focus on tender preparation.
You must have a strong technical background in tunnelling, excavation, and underground works, and the ability to interpret and analyze complex technical documents and drawings.
