Job summary

Airbus in Stevenage offers undergraduate placements within a multi-disciplinary team focused on next-generation digital satellite payloads. You will help develop digital hardware, firmware and software to ensure products meet customer requirements and you will participate in the design, simulation and testing of new solutions.

Applicants should be pursuing a STEM degree, with proficiency in C or Python and a commitment for the full placement duration.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates only for the whole duration of the placement.
• Studying towards a degree in Software Engineering or related such as Physics, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics.
• Proficiency in C, Python or similar programming languages.
• Willingness to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Desire to find creative solutions to complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to simulate, control and test new product designs.
• Design and validate digital signal processing algorithms.
• Laboratory testing of new processor designs.
• Work on digital hardware, firmware and software components to meet customer needs.
