Job summary

Butlin's in Hemel Hempstead is seeking two Undergraduate Industrial Placement students for 2027–2028 within the Finance team. The role involves supporting analysis work, preparing weekly reports, and posting ledger entries to the accounting system.

You will help reconcile P&L cost lines, ensure accruals and prepayments are entered when required, and contribute to ad-hoc reporting. This paid placement offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced business.

We are recruiting for 2 industrial placement students for 2027 - 2028.

The role is part of the Butlins Finance team in Hemel Hempstead where the culture allows team members to add value through their individual personalities and being empowered to do the right thing for the business.

You will support in lots of analysis work, producing a suite of weekly reports to help the business to make good decisions. You will also be involved in posting ledger entries into the accounting system, reconciliation of P&L cost lines, ensuring accruals and prepayments are entered when required along with other ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

This is a great opportunity to gain some hands on experience in a fast paced successful business.

About You

This placement opportunity is suitable for students 2 years into an accounting or finance based degree looking for a 1 year industry placement.

You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated with a desire to learn new things and get stuck in to support the finance function and wider business.

Due to the nature of the roles in finance, you should have some Microsoft skills, particularly with excel and should be keen to further develop your confidence in this area. Strong communication skills are a must as you will be relating financial information to non-financial team in the business.
