The Opportunity

An established construction contractor in Suffolk is looking to appoint a Undergraduate / Graduate Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This role is ideally suited to undergraduates in the final year of their Quantity Surveying degree who are keen to gain hands-on experience alongside their studies, with the potential to develop into a permanent graduate role upon completion of their course.

You will be involved in a variety of projects, with a particular focus on converting office spaces into high-quality residential flats, as well as supporting broader residential developments. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a live project environment and build the foundations of a rewarding career.

What You ll Be Doing

  • Assisting with cost planning, tendering, and subcontractor management.
  • Supporting the commercial team with valuations, variations, and progress reports.
  • Carrying out site visits to monitor project progress.
  • Preparing accurate project documentation and cost analysis.
  • Working closely with project managers, site teams, and external partners.
