Job summary

Leicestershire Police is offering an EMSOU Technical Operations Internship (Undergraduate) on a fixed-term basis for 10 months. Based at Annesley with travel to regional sites, this role supports data analysis, reporting, and investigative insights for the Digital Forensics team.

Open to current undergraduates across Computer Science, Cyber Security, Mathematics, Data Science and related fields. Security clearance to SC/MV level is required prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Cyber Security, Mathematics, Data Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, RF Engineering, Physics, Crime Scene Investigation, Computer Graphics).
• Ability to problem solve, make decisions and manage time effectively to prioritise workload.
• Experience delivering written reports and verbal briefings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, interpreting and reporting information to relevant departments.
• Produce comprehensive written reports detailing background research with structured conclusions.
• Support EMSOU with new ideas and ways of working to advance the response to criminal activity.
