Job summary

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking an ultrasound technologist to perform imaging exams under supervision. The role requires recognition of cross-sectional anatomy and accurate documentation in RIS/PACS/HIS. Customer service and policy compliance are essential.

The candidate should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and an accredited ultrasound program completion (post-2002). ARDMS certification or eligibility, plus BLS, are required within the first year; 30 ECE credits are

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program if hired after 2002.
• ARDMS certification or eligible (must become certified within first year).
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association.
• Must obtain 30 ECE credits in three years for recertification.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, competently performs ultrasound imaging examinations.
• Recognizes cross-sectional anatomy and maintains accuracy in recording results.
• Uses RIS/PACS and HIS for documenting patient exams and disseminating results.
• Provides excellent customer service and adheres to hospital policies.
