The Role:
- As Repairs Workshop Manager, you will supervise, mentor, and train a team of Ultrasound Probe Repair Technicians at the Corby facility.
- You will allocate tasks efficiently to ensure timely and high-quality repairs while fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- You will perform complex repairs and troubleshooting on various ultrasound probe models.
- It is vital that you support your technicians with challenging repairs and provide technical guidance to your team of engineers.
- You will ensure adherence to best practices in ultrasound probe repair processes, along with complying with all Quality Assurance & Compliance requirements such as ISO 13485 and other relevant regulatory standards.
- You will lead the training and development of your team, developing and delivering training programs to enhance their skills.
- You will manage inventory of repair tools, parts, and equipment within the workshop.
- You will identify inefficiencies and implement solutions for improvement.
- This role offers progression towards an Operational Management position.
- Full initial training will be provided, along with ongoing career development opportunities.
The Ideal Person:
- Experience as an Ultrasound Probe Service Engineer, either internally or in the field, is required.
- In-depth knowledge of working to ISO 17025 regulations is essential.
- Team leadership or management experience is necessary, including training and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a changing environment is important.
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office and CRM systems, with high proficiency in record keeping, are vital.
- While not customer-facing, you will engage with key stakeholders via phone, online meetings, or email, so strong customer service skills are essential.
- Applicants must reside in or near Corby, or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
- Right to work in the UK is required; no sponsorship available.
Package:
- Basic salary: Up to GBP50k (DOE)
