Job Title: Ultrasound Probe Lab Manager

The Ultrasound Probe Repair Lab Manager will oversee repair lab operations and lead a team of technicians. Responsibilities include ensuring high-quality repairs, maintaining compliance with ISO 13485 standards, and contributing to hands-on repair work. The role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous training and process improvement.
- Supervise, mentor, and train a team of ultrasound probe repair technicians.
- Allocate tasks efficiently to ensure timely and high-quality repairs.
- Foster a positive and productive working environment.
Technical Expertise & Hands-On Repair:
- Perform complex repairs and troubleshooting on various ultrasound probe models.
- Support technicians with challenging repairs and provide technical guidance.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in ultrasound probe repair processes.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Ensure all repair activities comply with ISO 13485 and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Conduct quality control checks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate repair records and documentation.
Training & Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance technician skills.
- Keep the team updated with industry advancements and repair techniques.
Workshop Operations & Efficiency:
- Manage inventory of repair tools, parts, and equipment.
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline workflows.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in ultrasound probe repair, with hands-on technical expertise.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and training technicians.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 13485 regulations and medical device repair standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with management, suppliers, and customers.
- Proficiency in maintaining repair documentation and quality control procedures.
- Background in electronics, biomedical engineering, or related fields.
