Wyre Borough Council is seeking a dedicated individual to join their economic development team, providing essential support for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund programme. This role involves project coordination, data analysis, and communication with various stakeholders. An exciting opportunity to join the economic development team, you will provide essential support to ensure the successful delivery of Wyre’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) programme, which is due to complete in March 2026. The role provides support to the UKSPF Project Manager and will be responsible for effective coordination, engagement and delivery, through administrative support, of the suite of projects being delivered across Wyre.
Main duties include communication with internal and external project deliverers to ensure that the requirements of theUKSPF Government programmeare met and evidenced, data analysis and vigorous monitoring of the output and outcome measures; requesting, collating and checking report information; preparation and submission of information to a wide variety of stakeholders; purchase ordering and finance monitoring; co-ordination of meetings and agendas, publicity and promotional activities, and project support for the economic development team who have work ranging from monitoring our town centres, supporting businesses to grow and skills initiatives. The post is funded until 31 March 2026 but may be extended if there are further years of UKSPF funding.
We are looking for someone with a can do attitude, excellent organisational, administrative and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy in their work.
We require an excellent level of computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, in particular excel spreadsheets, Teams and web based systems.
The role will involve communicating with a diverse range of people, agencies and organisations, so we need someone with strong personal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills across a range of stakeholders, with the ability to summarise information.
