What will you do?

You will play and test the games, focusing on identifying linguistic bugs and reporting them accurately using bug databases. Clear communication in English is essential for effective collaboration across global teams.

What would you do at work?

• Ensure games and applications provide the best user experience by being linguistically bug-free.
• Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy, correctness, and cultural appropriateness.
• Follow Universally Speaking's LQA process and standards, optimized over the years to be industry-leading.
• Use industry-standard bug databases to write detailed bug reports, demonstrating your commitment to improving games.
• Take ownership of bugs to ensure they are fixed and correctly implemented.
• Become an LQA Expert across a range of projects, with areas of specialization.
• Manage, create, and execute test cases throughout the project lifecycle, including documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with developers during test requirement gathering to ensure comprehensive testing.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Work cooperatively with the QA team.

• Continuous learning and improvement of LQA workflows and techniques.

Requirements

You are a great match if you:

• Are an expert in Ukrainian.
• Have proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Are passionate about video games.
• Are a team player capable of working under pressure within tight deadlines.
• Are proactive, persistent, and enthusiastic.
• Have a keen eye for detail and focus on quality.
• Are proficient with computers, including word processing, database management, and MS Office Suite.
• Have the right to work in the UK.

It’s useful if you have some of the following skills, but if not, we can provide training:

• Previous experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
• Experience with LQA testing software tools, including test case management and text editing tools.
• Knowledge of CAT tools such as MemoQ.
• Understanding of the video game industry and trends.
• Higher degree in linguistics (desirable but not essential).
