The opportunity

Due to significant growth following a number of high-profile client wins, we are looking for a Corporate Tax Manager in our Birmingham Office. The role offers the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most exciting clients in the market, supporting them as they navigate an increasingly complex tax environment.

Your key responsibilities:

• Grow and maintain relationships with existing and new clients
• Manage the successful delivery of complex tax compliance and reporting engagements, including related consulting projects
• Involvement in tax audit engagements
• Provide exceptional client service
• Collaborate with other tax specialist teams
• Supervise, coach, and mentor junior staff to support their development
• Lead team initiatives to ensure success

Skills and attributes for success:

• Significant experience in corporate tax (practice or in-house)
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Business development abilities
• Effective time management and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Team player with leadership qualities
• Experience coaching and developing junior staff
• Commitment to delivering quality work

Minimum qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience as a corporate tax practitioner
• ACA / CA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent qualification
