Job summary

Thoughtworks is seeking a Director-level Market Lead to head the Data & AI practice in the UK & Ireland. This hybrid leadership role combines deep technical solutioning with commercial acumen, engaging CDOs, CIOs and CFOs to shape offerings, pricing, staffing and delivery.

You will lead a core team of 5–6 direct reports and influence a matrix of 50–75 practitioners across UKI, fostering AI-first pods and responsible AI practices while guiding client engagements from pre-sale to delivery.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data consulting with recent depth in productionizing AI, LLMs, and agentic systems.
• Proven history of shaping and selling large Data & AI deals with fixed-price or outcome-linked models.
• Deep understanding of delivering AI into production, governance, and cost/risk considerations.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial success on complex Data & AI deals across UKI from opportunity shaping to signed contract.
• Partner with tech advisory and domain leads to align architecture, commercial strategy and sector insight.
• Frame business-outcome hypotheses and define delivery slices that prove value quickly.
