Potentia Search is partnered with an award-winning membrane technology company involved in water treatment, wastewater reuse, and potable water production. They are seeking to hire a talented Regional Sales Manager to expand their presence in the UK & Ireland.

The Regional Sales Manager contributes to achieving sales targets set by the Sales Director. The role involves customer contact with new and existing clients in the Water Business, selling membrane modules to OEMs, municipal, and industrial customers. Generating new leads and maintaining a strong network with water industry stakeholders in the region are also key responsibilities.

How can you contribute?

The role's purpose is to manage and expand sales activities, find new leads, and develop lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders within the water segment. The Sales Manager for the UK & Ireland reports to the Sales Director for Northern, Western, and Eastern Europe. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships based on mutual trust and respect with clients in the region.
  • Preparing and submitting proposals and quotations to customers.
  • Coordinating sales activities and communicating customer requirements with other departments such as engineering, marketing, production, logistics, and operations.
  • Attending trade fairs and assisting in sample and promotional material preparation.
  • Maximizing sales and gross margins of standard products and components.
  • Negotiating and closing sales contracts.
  • Generating sales opportunities and leads.
  • Supporting engineers in communicating with customers during project delivery and implementation.
  • Providing market feedback on industry developments, customer needs, and competitors.
  • Ensuring systematic follow-up of offers and recording them in the CRM system (Salesforce).

Who are you?

  • BSc. or MSc. in a technical or combined technical/commercial field.
  • Work experience in a sales-driven role.
  • Experience in water business, especially membrane technology, is desirable.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage sales processes and forecast sales.
  • Strong time management skills due to the role's complexity.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in another foreign language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel for customer contact and site visits.
