Overview:

Join an award-winning sustainability technology company focused on reducing energy consumption across numerous sites worldwide. The firm has achieved over £65M in energy savings in 5 years and is expanding its London office to support projects across Europe.

The Commissioning & Project Engineer will be part of the project team, responsible for monitoring systems, planning, coordinating, managing, and documenting energy efficiency monitoring systems. The individual will lead over 10 projects and report to the Global Head of Projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop monitoring solutions across different platforms and protocols (BACnet, MODBUS, etc.).
• Map meters and monitoring points into the EDGE system.
• Commission monitoring systems within the EDGE platform.
• Coordinate with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Review and prepare project documentation.
• Coordinate between departments to meet quality and schedule requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Technical knowledge of MODBUS metering and system integration.
• Experience with BACnet and BMS systems.
• Proven experience in system integration.
• Strong computer skills, especially in networking, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of electrical sub-metering systems, especially CT-driven meters.
• ECS Card and/or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3-4 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of other sub-metering equipment (water, gas, thermal energy).
• Organized documentation approach.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality legislation.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe.
