Description

UK Producer position within the Facultative GB business unit, reporting to the Head of Facultative, GB. Responsible for placing, retention, and servicing of existing clients and cedants, as well as developing and converting new business with a UK focus.

The role involves generating a portfolio of clients and prospects, maintaining client retention, and growing the portfolio through new business development and relationship management with clients and WTW. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly progressing team with significant growth potential.

The Role:
  1. Understand clients' or prospects' business, situations, opportunities, problems, and key issues.
  2. Manage relationships and negotiate placements with the (re)insurance market.
  3. Prepare client and prospect presentations, considering client profitability.
  4. Collaborate with Account Executives and the Sales Team to determine solutions, structure, and pricing.
  5. Identify suitable markets and placement strategies.
  6. Build relationships with underwriters in London and international markets.
  7. Develop solutions, structures, pricing, and placement strategies to meet client needs profitably.
  8. Identify primary decision-makers within clients and establish relationships.
  9. Liaise with cedants and foster strong relationships.
  10. Network internally and externally with specialists and other business units.
  11. Optimize revenue from clients using appropriate channels and markets.
  12. Expand existing portfolios through new opportunities.
  13. Provide technical and industry expertise as needed.
  14. Utilize expertise within technical teams for client needs.
  15. Apply and explain BU policies and procedures.
  16. Ensure compliance with WTW guidelines and procedures.
  17. Maintain good communication with colleagues and clients.
  18. Be proficient with relevant systems and tools.
  19. Understand clients’ business and risk management needs to deliver solutions.
Business Development
  1. Support sales processes to win, retain, and develop profitable clients.
  2. Maintain prospects through research, contact, meetings, RFP responses, and CRM updates.
  3. Respond promptly to new business and renewal opportunities.
  4. Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate internally.
  5. Stay informed about WTW products and services.
Placement Management
  1. Maintain relationships with market contacts.
  2. Ensure transparency and compliance in contracts and commitments.
  3. Manage contracts and data loading into systems.
  4. Review and assist with programme and pricing structures.
Operational and Service Delivery
  1. Develop solutions to retain clients.
  2. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  3. Create service plans and ensure regulatory compliance.
  4. Provide feedback and support process improvements.
Qualifications

The Requirements:

  • Preferably ACII qualified or working towards it.
  • Proven experience in Insurance Broking or Underwriting.
  • Good knowledge of the (re)insurance market.
  • Experience across retail, (re)insurance, and retrocession placements.
  • Experience dealing with clients and colleagues globally.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent technical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to process large information quickly.
  • Negotiation skills, flexibility, and innovation.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Prioritization and deadline management skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
