Qualifications

• Professionally qualified accountant or equivalent senior finance professional.
• Significant senior-level experience in Finance, Accounting, Controllership, Financial Compliance or Finance Operations within a complex organisation.
• Experience leading and developing experienced finance professionals and specialist contributors.
• Strong technical grounding in financial accounting, financial controls, risk management and corporate governance.
• Experience across multiple finance disciplines and a global matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as Site Controller for Roche UK Pharma, providing senior finance perspective on UK matters.
• Lead the UK Finance Operations team across Accounting, ICFR/Financial Compliance, and Procurement; coach and develop the team.
• Act as senior authorised Finance signatory; review and approve significant financial transactions.
• Oversee financial compliance and local policies, processes and controls; ensure UK regulatory obligations are met.
• Provide oversight of accounting and financial reporting, including VPAG, accruals, treasury and pensions.
• Ensure effectiveness of ICFR, risk assessment, and segregation of duties.
• Lead external audit coordination and liaison; ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Provide leadership on financial governance, internal audit and assurance matters.
• Support ABPI and other reporting obligations; ensure reliable reporting.
