UK Payroll Specialist

As a UK Payroll Specialist, you will be a key member of a high-performing international payroll team based in London. You will work cross-functionally across many time zones, especially with the US. The ideal candidate will have a natural intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, flexibility, and a desire to drive process improvements. This is a hands-on role.

Responsibilities
  1. Process payroll & reimbursable expenses for UK entities within the Workday payroll module.
  2. Manage relationships with local stakeholders such as HMRC & tax advisory firms.
  3. Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including base pay, stock compensation, taxes, benefits, and shadow payroll.
  4. Handle wage tax filings and ensure compliance with local obligations.
  5. Perform month-end close processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally to improve processes and efficiencies.
  7. Participate in payroll implementation for new entities.
  8. Partner with HR, Employee Services, and Legal to provide a top-tier onboarding and payroll experience for UK employees.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Tax, Accounting, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of payroll processing and accounting experience supporting multiple UK entities.
  • In-house processing experience with Workday is essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft/Google tools.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in English.
