Job Description:

We are seeking a UK Necropsy Manager, based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire; Harrogate, North Yorkshire; or Eye, Suffolk.

The UK Necropsy Manager will oversee the Necropsy team (6 direct reports, 10-80 indirect reports), ensuring all processes comply with regulatory and quality standards, and are conducted efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure smooth daily department operations through active participation, decision-making, delegation, and empowerment.
  • Maintain quality and timeliness of services to meet or exceed Labcorp and customer expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to scientific standards and compliance with GLP and study protocols.
  • Support client-facing activities and liaise with clients; host visits and inspections.
  • Implement quality measurement programs to meet departmental standards.
  • Manage testing facilities and oversee staff training and development.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental cross-training.
  • Oversee development of new methodologies and scientific presentations.
  • Monitor departmental budgets and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Lead process improvements and address animal care concerns.
Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive drug development experience and supervisory skills.
  • Experience in Necropsy or Histology preferred.
  • Strong team-building, negotiation, and process innovation skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge of GLPs and regulatory guidelines.

Some travel is required; due to remote locations, public transport may not be available. Relocation assistance may be provided.
