The position

Based from our London office (Fitzrovia), we are looking for a well-rounded senior marketeer to join our Lingo team as UK Marketing Lead, responsible for developing and implementing the local UK marketing strategy for Lingo, to drive brand awareness and fuel sales for the market. Driving a cohesive strategy across brand marketing, performance marketing, media, social, CRM, and retail marketing, this role requires close cross-functional collaboration with the Global marketing team and local leadership and sales teams, balancing the unique needs of the UK market with global scale and efficiency.


What You’ll Do

  1. Support setting the UK marketing strategy across media, growth, brand, media, social, partnerships, and CRM.
  2. Work closely with the Global Product Marketing team to craft compelling value propositions and messaging that differentiate Lingo from competitors and capture local market nuances.
  3. Partner with the UK Creative team to develop breakthrough creative that differentiates the Lingo brand and tells the product story.
  4. Oversee the Performance Marketing strategy and execution, ensuring campaigns are optimized to achieve business objectives.
  5. Grow Lingo’s organic social presence, overseeing content creation and influencer partners to educate users and build community.
  6. Lead and mentor a small team, facilitating a culture of collaboration, analytical rigor, and creativity.
  7. Drive seasonal promotions and campaigns across web, email, and paid campaigns.
  8. Develop the Retail and Trade Marketing strategy, including prioritization and management of partners, media investment, and creative approach.
  9. Partner with Consumer Insights to ensure customer learnings are fully implemented into marketing plans and communicated across the organization.
  10. Measure and evaluate success of marketing campaigns, and drive learnings to improve future effectiveness and efficiency.
  11. Own and manage overall marketing budget and resources.

What You’ll Need

  1. Significant prior marketing experience, ideally within consumer (direct to consumer ideal), with experience in the technology space also preferred.
  2. Experience of setting a marketing strategy and successfully implementing.
  3. Regulatory experience would be a plus.
  4. Prior people management experience.
  5. Experience managing budgets.
