Job summary

eShepherd, part of Gallagher, is scaling its UK presence and looking for a Business Development Manager to drive growth across the UK and Europe for a cutting-edge livestock management technology. You will lead opportunities, build partnerships, and expand adoption with producers, distributors and industry stakeholders.

You’ll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, develop a strong pipeline, and collaborate with Customer Success, Marketing and Product teams to support customer

Qualifications

• Proven success in Business Development
• Experience generating new business and driving growth
• Strong solution-selling and relationship-building capability
• Agricultural, livestock, rural or AgTech industry experience preferred
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Identify, target and convert new opportunities across the UK and European market
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified prospects
• Develop trusted relationships with farmers, producers, partners and distributors
• Demonstrate commercial and operational benefits of eShepherd
• Deliver consultative, solution-based sales conversations tailored to farming operations
• Negotiate proposals, agreements and commercial outcomes
• Represent at industry events, field days and customer demonstrations
• Monitor market trends, customer feedback and competitor activity
• Maintain forecasting, pipeline reporting and CRM data
