Job Description:

What you will do

As Key Account Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying product opportunities, driving customer adoption, and accelerating sales and market share growth.

The role involves promoting the assigned product portfolio in close collaboration with the Customer Facing Team, as well as designing, managing, and executing key account plans to deliver both short- and long-term value, strengthening partnerships with key customers.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Provide critical feedback on commercial strategy, including successes, barriers, market opportunities, and key stakeholders.
  • Achieve and exceed sales objectives as agreed with the line manager.
  • Build product awareness and usage in target accounts, ensuring formulary listing and product stocking.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with local market access and MSL teams to develop and execute account plans aligned with brand strategy.
  • Establish strong relationships with key customer groups (prescribers and payors) to drive sales growth.
  • Demonstrate high levels of professional selling skills in line with the Santen Selling Model (SESM).
  • Identify and develop key secondary care customers as advocates for the product.
  • Use CRM to manage customer data, ensure up-to-date information, and track performance to meet key deliverables.

What you will bring to the role

  • Ophthalmology experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of delivering results in a multi-stakeholder model to effect changes in policy and practice
  • Evidence of delivering strong commercial excellence
  • Successful experience/understanding of local healthcare structure for prescribing, reimbursement, funding, formulary processes and policies as they affect the dry eye disease, allergy and glaucoma market
  • Experience of Key Opinion Leader development
  • Experience of working within Ophthalmology units and ideally the geography covered
