Job summary

ABM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Data Privacy Specialist to lead and continuously improve the UK & Ireland privacy programme, ensuring proportionate controls are embedded across the organisation. The role supports UK GDPR and EU GDPR compliance, provides practical guidance to stakeholders, maintains RoPAs, coordinates DPIAs, DSARs, data incidents and training, with a flexible part-time pattern.

Reporting to senior stakeholders in Technology and Products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of data privacy experience with GDPR programme responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR and EU GDPR and practical application.
• Experience maintaining RoPAs and reviewing DPIAs.
• Experience coordinating DSARs with HR and business stakeholders.
• Experience managing data incidents and maintaining audit records.
• Experience delivering data privacy training and awareness activities.
• Ability to standardise privacy processes across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

• Privacy Programme Governance: plan, track and complete activities in line with requirements.
• Maintain privacy governance framework with clear ownership and reporting.
• Provide updates on privacy activity, risks, incidents and improvements.
• RoPAs: coordinate ongoing maintenance across UK & Ireland business.
• DPIAs: review and support assessments for systems and processes.
• DSARs & Individual Rights: coordinate requests with HR and teams.
