Job summary

Substack is seeking an Events Lead, UK & International based in London to design and deliver a year‑round events program for creators and communities. You’ll shape strategy, plan flagship moments in London, and lay the groundwork for international gatherings from Sydney to beyond.

You’ll manage the full event lifecycle, partner with internal teams and external agencies, recruit freelancers, and ensure events reflect Substack’s brand and mission while delivering measurable impact and growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in experiential event marketing and production.
• Strategic thinker with attention to detail and execution.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Deep network of premier agencies and vendors.
• Ability to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Shape the UK events strategy and oversee international activity with the Head of International.
• Drive execution from concept to promotion and on-site delivery.
• Enable partnerships with market-specific insights and support.
• Manage UK events budget, goals, and ROI tracking.
• Recruit and lead freelancers and contractors across markets.
• Scale events to be replicated across territories without losing impact.
• Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and vendors to deliver high-impact experiences.
