With new leadership, major investment, and a focus on sustainability, innovation, and growth, they're looking for a commercially minded UK HR Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of their UK operations.

Client Details

Our client is a global leader in sustainable manufacturing, supplying high-quality products to some of the world's most recognised brands. With a strong presence across multiple international markets, they are committed to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.

Driven by a mission to create responsible, high-performing solutions, the business is investing in cutting-edge technology, continuous improvement initiatives, and the development of a high-performing workforce. Their vision is to build a collaborative, forward-thinking organisation that champions efficiency, environmental responsibility, and strong customer partnerships.

At their core, they value integrity, innovation, and inclusivity - fostering a culture where employees are empowered to make a real impact. With ambitious growth plans and an evolving global strategy, they are looking for passionate individuals to help shape their future.

Description

Reporting to the UK General Manager, with a dotted line to the Group HR Director, you'll lead HR for the UK business, supporting approx. 200 employees a small team of two. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in change environments, enjoys process improvement, and is passionate about driving cultural and operational transformation.

Key responsibilities and project focuses

  • Lead and deliver HR strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Partner with SLT to develop management and leadership capability
  • Support organisation design and operating model improvements
  • Enhance Trade Union relationships, agreements, and policy development
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes and employee experience
  • Drive key projects in talent acquisition, talent & performance development and engagement

The UK HR Manager needs to be visible and engaged with stakeholders, so the business expects a 4-day on-site presence to make a real impact. That said, they still value flexibility and hybrid working, ensuring the right balance.

Profile

We are looking for a commercially minded HR professional with proven experience at management level, partnering with senior stakeholders. You will bring strong experience of complex employee relations, underpinned by excellent UK employment law knowledge. A background in employment law would be highly advantageous.

You may be an established HR Business Partner or Manager ready to step into a broader leadership role, or already have experience leading a HR function. Either way, we're looking for someone confident operating at a strategic level, while still happy to be hands-on when needed.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential, ideally within a global, matrixed organisation. You'll be a calm and solutions-focused change agent, with a track record of delivering successful business change and transformation projects. Strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence at all levels are a must.
