Job summary

Yokogawa United Kingdom Ltd is seeking a Controller to own financial management and control for the UK entity from the Runcorn base. You will set policies, run planning and budgeting cycles, and provide the leadership team with numbers and advice to guide decision-making.

You’ll lead the UK finance team, drive month-end close, strengthen internal controls around project revenue, and ensure alignment with group standards while balancing local needs and global requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA is a strong advantage.
• Ten+ years broad finance experience, ideally in industrial, engineering or project-driven settings.
• Six+ years managing and developing finance teams.
• Strong hands-on financial modelling, management accounting, budgeting, compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Own financial management and control for the UK entity: planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
• Set and maintain financial policies, procedures and internal controls, ensuring compliance.
• Lead financial modelling, scenario planning and data analysis for pricing, investments and risk decisions.
• Identify and manage organisational and financial risk and drive mitigation.
• Shape and improve financial information systems and management-information landscape.
• Contribute to functional strategy and advise senior management on financial implications.
• Lead, direct and develop the UK finance team and build capability across the organization.
