Position Summary

Crawford has the largest team of dedicated Liability adjusters in the UK, located at 12 self-contained offices, in most cases less than an hour from any loss. General Background, Experience & Professional Qualifications

We’re on the search for talent: candidates within the claims arena who enjoy helping customers and clients by providing first-class claims service. Ideally, you’ll have some Liability claims exposure; however, applications from strong candidates with different claims backgrounds are also welcome.

Additionally, we’d like you to have:

  • An insurance qualification such as CII or equivalent, although study support is available
  • Experience of end-to-end caseload management
  • Ability to prioritize claims, act upon instructions and SLA’s, and be comfortable in a KPI target environment
  • Knowledge and/or awareness of FSA procedures and the TCF initiative
  • Awareness of Business Continuity programme and your role within it

Key Responsibilities

You will be assigned your own caseload of Liability claims, ranging from Employers Liability and Personal Liability to Commercial claims of varying value. You will work in partnership with an assigned Liability Adjuster on more complex claims, managing client instructions swiftly to ensure excellent client relationships built on trust, respect, and quick resolution.

Your duties include gathering relevant evidence, understanding policy cover details, and explaining liability to customers in a clear, non-technical, and unbiased manner. Negotiating settlements and managing pushbacks to ensure swift resolution, as well as liaising with third parties involved in the claims process, will be key to your success.

This role offers the opportunity to develop into a field-based Adjuster, with additional study support and career development pathways available.
