UK Country Managing Director — West Midlands
Our client is a manufacturer of logistics solutions supplied across multiple sectors. Their innovative and durable solutions enable businesses to move, handle, and distribute goods swiftly, safely, and securely.
The incoming UK Country Managing Director will hold full UK P&L responsibility, driving commercial performance, operational efficiency and long-term growth. This individual will be expected to strengthen existing customer relationships whilst unlocking new routes to market, ensuring the UK becomes a strategic growth hub for the Group.
Core objectives include:
- Achievement of financial targets (sales, margin, cost control).
- Delivery of operational efficiency and productivity metrics.
- Development of growth strategy; through new and existing routes to market, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Building and motivating a high-performing UK team, fostering engagement and capability.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role, requiring entrepreneurial spirit, commercial agility, and the ability to inspire confidence across stakeholders.
KEY EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- Proven track record in a senior leadership role within products/logistics solutions supplied to the sectors of interest – Retail, Automotive, Laundry Equipment, Waste Recycling, Manufacturing, Airports / Passenger Logistics, Postal & Distribution.
- Previous strategic commercial management experience, strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L.
- Previous experience of day-to-day operational management of a business unit or division, it’s people and processes.
- Experience in managing a broad range of stakeholder environments, including customers, suppliers, shareholders and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to communicate fluently and concisely across a range of different cultures and mediums
- Proven hands on and task-oriented experience, comfortable at operating in a ‘sleeves rolled up’ manner.
