The Compliance Business Partner Manager ensures adherence to regulatory and ethical standards across the UK, Ireland, and the Nordics. Acting as the “face of Compliance,” this role collaborates with key stakeholders to proactively manage risks, implement compliance programs, and foster a culture of integrity. With a deep understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, the manager will oversee compliance operations, support business decision-making, and contribute to regional and global compliance initiatives.
Please note that we offer a hybrid work model, with our office located in St. Albans (UK).
What You’ll Do
• Develop and promote a strong culture of compliance, ensuring ethical behavior and accountability.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across the UK, Ireland, and Nordics, collaborating with business leaders.
• Provide expert guidance on regulatory and compliance matters, supporting various departments and functions.
• Review and approve interactions, engagements, and contracts, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
• Manage transparency reporting processes, overseeing disclosures and ensuring accuracy in regulatory submissions.
• Support third-party risk management, conducting due diligence and advising on risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct internal monitoring, audits, and risk assessments to ensure adherence to policies and industry codes.
• Deliver compliance training programs for employees and external partners, fostering awareness and understanding.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
• 5–7 years of experience in compliance within the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong regulatory background.
• Deep knowledge of European pharmaceutical regulations (EFPIA, IFPMA) and local compliance requirements in the UK, Ireland, and Nordics.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and training initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and recommend effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes.
• Professional certifications in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional).
• Professional fluency in English; knowledge of Swedish, Finnish, Danish, or Norwegian is a plus.
