Job summary

Chiesi UK is seeking a senior communications leader to head our Public Affairs and Communications team in Manchester. You will drive strategy, build a compelling narrative, and advise senior leaders on reputation and crisis management.

You will lead integrated programmes across internal and external audiences, working with UK Leadership, Global Communications, and partners to strengthen our reputation and employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in developing and delivering communications strategies and campaigns.
• Ability to work with media professionals and manage campaigns across channels (press, social, TV, radio).
• Strong writing skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Enhance and lead a clear, cohesive narrative for Chiesi UK, aligned with long‑term strategy and values.
• Develop and oversee integrated communications programmes across internal and external audiences.
• Advise the UK Leadership Team on communications strategy, issues management, crisis communications, and reputation management.
• Lead external communications across channels including press, social media, website content, videos, blogs, speeches and infographics.
• Act as the primary contact for UK and global press releases, collaborating with brand teams.
• Lead internal communications and employee engagement to support organisational change and culture.
• Build relationships across UK affiliate, Global Communications, other affiliates and external partners.
• Manage agency and vendor relationships and budgets for communications and employee engagement.
• Lead and develop the UK communications team to high professional standards.
