This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic and critical Product and Marketing team within UK International Card Services, who manage UK Consumer and SBS Cobrand Products. This team promises to drive significant growth and value through the delivery of innovative products, tailored to the needs of our customers.

The team focuses on creating and delivering value for our customers, through strategic growth initiatives for new products and propositions as well as delivering end-to-end marketing for Cardmember acquisition and engagement.

The successful candidate will work cross functionally across the Enterprise to develop effective marketing campaigns, and to drive profitable growth for the business delivering superior customer experience while ensuring governance and consumer duty guidelines are met.

As a key member of the team, you will also interact at multiple stakeholder levels, both within the Product & Marketing teams and other areas of the organisation, including but not limited to, Servicing, Operations, Technology, Acquisition, and Finance.

The role will be supporting 2 key Cobrand Card Products in the UK.

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Lead status calls and relationship with counterparts at 2 key Cobrand Cards. Influence our partners to unlock more acquisition channels and commitment, to drive sustainable growth on the cobrand portfolio.
  • Deliver end-to-end Cardmember acquisition and engagement marketing plan for 2 Cobrand Cards, by partnering with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Identifying right channel messaging and marketing tactics to create engaging communications and campaigns.
  • Appointing and managing creative agencies to ensure optimal delivery of marketing campaigns. Collaborating with UK counterparts, including Customer Service, GMS, Finance, Compliance and Legal teams in the development and execution of product strategies.
  • Actively monitor and analyse marketing placements to develop key learnings, enhancements, and T/L optimizations to drive Cardmember acquisition and engagement.
  • Leverage data analytics to deliver on co-branded campaigns, ideate on rollout of new benefits and/or changes to product benefits, and drive an overall healthy portfolio.
  • Providing stakeholder updates on product performance via monthly team meetings, and partner facing QBRs.
  • Key partner to servicing teams, ensuring the correct strategy to retain customers, gather feedback and support in solving complaints.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on competitor activity and the external environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

  • Work on a suite of partnership focused Cobrand Card products to drive business growth
  • Help shape and define the ICS Cobrand Card E2E portfolio health (acquisition, engagement & retention strategy)
  • Become the expert of the product across the enterprise
  • Build partnership relationships externally with cobrand partners, and with cross functional teams across American Express

Minimum Qualifications

  • Background in Marketing, with a desire to build experience in Product Management
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills – finding a way around obstacles and challenges
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity, tight timelines and willingness to test-and-learn.
  • A customer centric mind-set and interest in understanding the Cobrand customer needs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organisational skills
  • A results-driven mind-set, well versed in usage of data and insights to set campaign objectives, track performance and test and learn new approaches to communications.
  • Comfortable with data/analytics – proven ability to analyse and interpret data to form recommendations as well as articulate learnings and outputs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of Card Issuing Economics
  • UK experience and understanding of the card and regulatory landscape and customer needs (Consumer Duty)
  • Experience with systems and processes for campaign analysis and execution
