As the CCO UK, you will be a senior leader of the UK Office and hold a strategic responsibility to execute on the future growth of our Direct Business (Direct to Client). We operate with a Digital Platform First mindset, as CCO you are the bridge between the Client (through the Sales/RM team) and their digital platform experience (via the Client Journeys team*).

Your role is multi-faceted supporting strategic decision-making with the CEO, leadership of a team covering both clients and product enhancements, day-to-day operational execution of commercial objectives while ensuring first line compliance. The CCO will also act as an external face of Saxo attending client events and building a brand for Saxo in the the UK through PR, marketing and communication activities.

Mandate:

  • CCO UK reports to CEO UK and holds a place in the UK Senior Management team

  • Representative of the UK office on selected committees of the Saxo Group

  • As matrix manager, perform the daily management of teams or key persons, operating in the UK Office

Responsibilities

Strategic:

  • At all times act as a senior leader of the UK Office, supporting strategic decision making and implementation of initiatives in a compliant manner

  • Ensure that a detailed local commercial strategy & plans are in place and aligned with all relevant stakeholders

  • Ensure deliveries are aligned with the strategy, and that the strategy is clearly communicated to all employees

  • Lead, develop and motivate the Sales and Journey teams (~12 individual people who report to the CCO). Provide strategic direction for these local journey owners and ensure a strong "handshake" between individual journeys and global/local stakeholders

  • Actively take part in building and maintaining a strong leadership culture in the UK office in line with the leadership principles defined by Saxo Bank - Creating Clarity, Focus & Accountability and strong business performance

  • Secure alignment of local priorities with global initiatives and take ownership of implementation of selected Group commercial initiatives

  • Ensure proper reporting towards the Group Commercial management and broader organization around progress of commercial strategy

Operational:

  • Responsible for budget setting, KPIs and targets and effectively running the Direct business

  • Ensure strong processes are in place for local journeys, including structured governance around engagement with global stakeholders, local teams and cross-functional support teams

  • Drive the sales team through rigorous KPIs such as referrals, call rates, ANF conversions, X sell campaigns etc

  • Meet with and build commercial relationships with our VIP clients focused on client development and issue resolution

Compliance :

  • Ensure day to day compliance of the Frist Line team with full accountability for regulatory excellence in all our daily operations

Your Profile

You have at least 15 years of experience in Financial Services, with a background in digital products and platforms, brokerage, and client-facing roles. You are an experienced people leader with a proven track record of achieving commercial targets and driving growth.

*A team of people responsible for all client journeys on and off the platform covering Awareness (marketing and PR), Acquisition (Onboarding, Funding) and Activation (Getting started, Client Services, Churn Prevention, Win Back)
