Job summary

Identifi Global in Manchester is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Security Engineer to own the UK AWS security landscape. You will collaborate with Cybersecurity and US teams to secure cloud environments, drive remediation of vulnerabilities, and advise engineers on secure cloud changes.

The role offers a hybrid pattern (3 days in office) with a strong emphasis on hands-on security ownership, incident support, and ongoing professional development in cloud security technologies.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on AWS security experience.
• Experience maintaining or improving cloud security controls.
• Vulnerability assessment, prioritisation and remediation experience.
• Experience coordinating security incidents and triage.
• Proficiency with AWS-native security services (GuardDuty, CloudTrail).
• Strong understanding of cloud security hardening and configurations.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day security of the UK AWS environment with Cybersecurity and DevOps teams.
• Maintain and improve AWS security controls and posture.
• Identify vulnerabilities, assess risk and drive remediation.
• Monitor threats and translate findings into practical actions.
• Review configurations and harden the AWS estate.
• Support security incidents as UK point of contact and coordinate with US team.
• Contribute to new cloud services and security projects.
• Align UK controls with the US environment and advise on security implications.
• Participate in out-of-hours on-call rotation.
