Store Management Responsibilities

1. Manage all aspects of store operations and support leadership to Team Members.
2. Oversee daily operations including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, compliance, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Retail Floor Lead in store operations, including acting as a shift leader and guiding Team Members.
• Foster a positive environment of teamwork, respect, and high morale, supporting WFM's vision and goals.
• Recruit, train, mentor, motivate, and coach Team Members to maintain high performance and reduce turnover.
• Ensure timely completion of required training and provide feedback through job dialogues.
• Assist in achieving sales, labor, and expense targets.
• Support front-end operations, including cash handling and staffing.
• Maintain store cleanliness and adhere to SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Participate in inventories and stay informed on company updates.
• Model effective communication and support inventory management duties.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Meet customer service standards when interacting with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Be cross-trained across store areas.
• Obtain food safety certification within 6 months if not already certified.
• Possess advanced knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Use equipment safely and effectively, including knives, protective gear, forklifts, etc.
• Understand regulatory and safety policies.
• Have strong organizational, prioritization, and delegation skills.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal, motivational, and leadership skills.
• Be energetic, enthusiastic, and aligned with our core values.
• Possess proficient mathematical skills and familiarity with email, Microsoft Office, and store applications.

Desired Experience and Conditions

• At least 24 months of retail experience, including 12 months of team leadership.
• Must be able to lift fifty pounds and work in various physical conditions.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
