About The Role

In support of the UK & European business strategy, the UK & European Marketing & Communications Associate Director role is responsible for the delivery of the marketing strategy throughout the UK & European business driving awareness and attraction whilst ensuring continued growth and commercial success, together with championing the global strategy while understanding the intricacies of regional challenges and goals.

Translate overall company goals into region specific, results orientated marketing strategy and initiatives

  • A critical member of the UK & European management team, responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic marketing plan for the UK & European business. Achieving and supporting the region's growth and sales targets through the execution of the marketing plan. Providing regular reporting on progress against plan.
  • Leverage the brand identity and ensure it is flawlessly executed across all marketing and product touchpoints across the customer journey by influencing and partnering with cross functional groups throughout the UK & European business.
  • Working with the Group Marketing team to implement the global strategy and narrative plan, taking into account the different level of maturity that exist across our UK & European business and the aspiration for growth.

Marketing and Communications

  • Raise the visibility, awareness and reputation of UK & Europe across our priority stakeholders with the aims of increasing engagement, building deeper client relationships, increasing income generating opportunities and enhancing brand impact.
  • Develop an industry leading, effective, innovative, integrated and multi-channel marketing communications programme across all of UK & European activities. Responsible for managing the marketing activities for a portfolio of complex services from attraction through to retention.

Go to Market - Campaign Management

  • Collaborating closely with the Group Marketing function to support the delivery of effective marketing campaigns and activities to ensure we leverage the brand effectively and drive business growth. Planning, budgeting, executing and evaluating effective marketing communication campaigns for UK & Europe.
  • Monitoring ongoing campaign spend against budget ensuring positive return on investment.
  • Leverage industry best practices, customer insights, and data to recommend new channels to test to grow Currie & Brown's brand awareness aligned to our business strategy.
  • Use insight and monitoring tools to monitor the effectiveness of the marketing activity and use this insight to inform future plans and activity
  • Responsible for undertaking and report findings on competitor analysis for the business region.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the UK & Europe Marketing and Communications budget, foreseeing potential issues and looking for cost-effective solutions.

Agency Management:

  • Manage agency relationships from both performance, contractual and financial perspectives.
  • Overseeing the sign off on marketing communications, ensuring that the positioning and creative execution meet the guidelines set by the Group Marketing Function.

Team Management:

  • Management of two Marketing Managers and Marketing Executive
  • Working with the Group Marketing function and external agencies, identify and implement the necessary team to ensure UK & Europe meets and exceeds it growth targets.

Essential experience of:

  • Experience in marketing & communications, with a full understanding of integrated marketing campaigns, media needs and media relationships (digital and offline). The ability to see the bigger picture and think strategically about the future opportunities for Currie & Brown.
  • Proven delivery of large, multi-channel, complex marketing campaign projects. Developing plans including engagement strategies, brand rollout, risk mitigation and evaluating success.
  • Experience and understanding of ensuring that marketing and communications activity fits with the brand strategy and enhances the brand in everything it does
  • Demonstrable experience of identifying risks and damage to a brand and proposing solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, experienced with communicating to a range of internal and external audiences
  • Leading and working with teams and agencies across geographies and remotely
  • Working in an international environment and understanding of complex, matrix organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective strong relationships with stakeholders and agencies
  • Event and campaign project management
  • Strong digital and technology skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, Sharepoint (iConnect) and knowledge of website CMS software.
