Our Mission

Radical Forge is a Middlesbrough, UK-based developer that has provided co-development services on a range of AAA and indie titles. In 2021, the company created its first original IP, 'Brightpaw', published on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One/Series S/X, Google, and iOS. The studio is currently working on the anticipated silly, physics-based, sandbox farming game, 'Southfield'.

Your Mission

• Own and define UI & UX deliverables from concept to completion, ensuring quality and usability, and championing the player experience.
• Align UI/UX with game vision by collaborating closely with design, engineering, and other disciplines.
• Work with the producer and team to create realistic, achievable feature sets and backlogs.
• Meet deadlines pragmatically without compromising quality.
• Create and share documentation to support project teams across disciplines.
• Communicate effectively with external partners and publishers when needed.

Ideal Applicant

• Experience implementing UI/UX in Unity Engine (Unreal experience is a bonus).
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Effective at giving and receiving feedback.
• Experience with version control systems like Perforce.
• Ability to estimate tasks and communicate status through Jira.
• Strong artistic and graphic design skills.
• Experience in wireframing and prototyping.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines.
• Experience working through multiple development phases, including production and live service.
• Proactively contributes to an inclusive team culture.

This role can be fully remote within the UK. We require all applicants to have a pre-existing right to work in the UK.

The position is initially a 12-month contract with potential extension.
