Job summary

Vallum Associates is seeking a frontend/UI engineer to turn business requirements into deliverable UI work, shipping iteratively to production. You will design UI solutions focusing on layout, hierarchy, interaction patterns and state handling to meet user needs using semantic HTML, CSS, vanilla JS and Web Components.

You'll contribute to shared UI libraries and documentation, champion accessibility and standards, address technical debt, and participate in production support and continuous

Qualifications

• Proficient use of semantic HTML and maintainable CSS.
• Practical accessibility implementation including keyboard navigation, ARIA labeling and WCAG principles.
• UI/visual design judgement and ability to explain trade-offs clearly.
• Comfortable consuming RESTful APIs and handling auth/error/edge cases in UI.
• Collaborative working style with pairing, code reviews and open communication.
